How do you take photos of a pipe organ? Well, a wide angle lens would allow you to catch most of it, but what I, instead, tried was to catch the idea of a pipe organ. You could approach it from various angles: the pipes, the organ, or maybe the organist (though impossible on this day, because I was the only person in the sanctuary). I chose to find specific pipes that seemed to say something.
The shot of the big pipes was, for me, reminiscent of sitting in the very top, last row in the Bass Hall in Ft. Worth as the organ was warmed up. The lowest pipes, much larger than these, I would bet, could not be heard, only felt. Groovy! And for this next shot, I wanted to catch a photo of some of those pipes not on the front wall, discreetly doing their job here and there around the church.
